how to help   >>   donating money

CCDIA's work depends entirely on donations, whether they are one-off or represent a continued commitment, and we are always in need of more funding. We would urge you to consider making a donation.

There are instructions on giving within Brazil and giving from overseas below.

Making a Regular Commitment

If you wish to make an annual or monthly commitment to CCDIA, the following sponsorship programmes may help you decide how much to give.

 Child Sponsorship

A donation of only US$15 will cover the cost of a child attending CCDIA for one month. This includes everything from school materials to teachers' salaries.

Please contact us if you are able to sponsor one or more children.

 Project Sponsorship

If you are able to give more, then it may be more appropriate to sponsor a project. Projects vary considerably in cost depending on their size and we currently have several in urgent need of sponsorship.

If your church or organisation would be able to support by sponsoring 10%, 25%, 50% or 100% of the cost of a project, please get in touch.

Please give as little or as much as you are able. These programmes exist purely as guidelines to make giving easier. It is also important that we receive one-off and unmarked donations that we can direct to areas of greatest need.

Giving within Brazil

Donations in Brazilian Reais can be paid straight into CCDIA's bank account in Banco Itaú (see bank details below) or passed directly to CCDIA or one of CCDIA's projects (see 'contact CCDIA').

If the money is for a specific purpose or project, be sure to let us know in writing.

Giving from Overseas

Most overseas banks are able to do electronic transfers direct to CCDIA's bank account. It is generally very expensive to do so unless sending large amounts (usually costs $50 - $100 per transfer), so it is advisable to contact CCDIA first. Often donations can be accumulated and combined to make the cost of transfer cheaper.

Contact a representative in your own country if one exists (see 'Getting in Touch from Overseas'), or CCDIA's office in Brazil (see 'Getting in Touch in Brazil').

If you decide to go ahead with an electronic transfer to Brazil, you should use the bank details below.

If the money is for a specific purpose or project, be sure to let us know in writing.
