Donation process set up in UK

CCDIA's supporters in the UK are now able to make donations more easily. The UK bank account means donations can be accumulated and transferred in bulk, saving CCDIA a significant amount in bank charges.

The account is provided by The Co-operative Bank plc, a bank that holds the same strong ethical values as CCDIA.

Get in touch with our UK representative for advice on how to donate (click here).

I.T. Improvements in Caxias

Thanks to a long-term supporter of CCDIA in Brazil, CCDIA Duque de Caxias will soon have a new face joining the team.

By offering to sponsor a new member of staff, the donor has (a) provided a job in a needy community; (b) improved the financial stability and sustainability of the project; and (c) given the children a new teacher.

As part of the donation, funds will be made available to renovate the computer facilities - fixing up both the classroom and the computers themselves.

Computer Donation Received

Friends of CCDIA in the UK have donated over $5,000 to equip two CCDIA projects with computer rooms.

The money was given in memory of Tina Mistry who lost her life in Peru earlier this year and will give CCDIA Manilha the means to start an Information Technology programme before the end of the year.

It will also give CCDIA Duque de Caxias the opportunity to significantly expand their facilities. They already have 100 children enrolled on their I.T. courses.

Tina's family wanted to acknowledge her affection for children and love of South America by supporting an organisation actively working with children at risk.

The donation will also provide a much needed lifeline to the project in Vila Jaci, which is currently looking for sponsorship.
